BAC unveils enhancement amenities at Bahrain International Airport

The Bahrain Airport Company has unveiled major plans to enhance the parking amenities at the Bahrain International Airport.

Bahrain International Airport is currently undergoing large-scale development plan aimed at elevating its status to global level. This includes addition of capacity to both existing and future terminals apart from ensuring flexibility and convenience to visitors, a top official revealed.

According to Dr. Osama Al Ali, the CEO of Bahrain Airport Company, the company has been acting proactively to tackle the restrictions imposed by the limited area of land at the airport, and offering long-term solutions for the same, has been the highest priority for the company.

As a part of major infrastructure plans that the Airport is currently undergoing, the company has laid plans to re-innovate the entire airport experience in several phases, he observed.

This includes valet parking service to be introduced shortly, extra parking space, and policies for encouraging visitors to use long-stay service, to park their vehicles over extended periods if required. However, short-duration parking will be solely dedicated to the regular visitors of the Airport, Al Ali explained.

These improvement plans will be followed further by construction of a multi-storey parking building to be used for long-stay parking. In the long run, the company will move long-stay parking away from the airport terminals, so that accessibility to the daily short visitors is not affected.

The airport expansion will also be accompanied by enhancing parking and traffic regulations meant to ensure a safe parking for all, he concluded.
